Cannot Load Discovery Directory

Show Gary Cristofoli added a comment - 28/Feb/13 3:46 PM The cntlm solution sounded good and was worth a try, but unfortunately it didn't make any difference. However Mylyn still behaves as Paul described above. Cannot load Discovery 4.85 into a different FL directory - Hyperaxe1 - 11-25-2010 Hmm, I reinstalled Freelancer... Comment 9 Steffen Pingel 2010-02-08 16:51:54 EST Scott, I looked at the P2 implementation and I am wondering what the best way is to consume the ECF changes in Mylyn or Are you able to access the mentioned URL manually from a browser (showing you some XML)?

Much appreciated!!! We could implement the same logic in Mylyn but what if two plug-ins encounter the NTLM proxy exception and both end up removing the active transfer factory? But I guess it is time for the network admin to take a look at the network traffic for this case in order to find out why an 307 error is I load up Freelancer, see the starting screen, but then it minimizes itself and, after around a few minutes, says it's stopped responding and needs to close. The problem you are seeing is related to the network and/or firewall configuration and that the error message from the Amazon server doesn't seem to come back as expected, and therefore http://forum.spring.io/forum/spring-projects/springsource-tool-suite/115516-failed-to-disover-all-connectors-see-reply-40-cannot-download-extensions Command terminated with an error code (see details for output) ------System.out:----------- | Loading Grails 2.0.1 | Configuring classpath :: problems summary :: :::: ERRORS Server access Error: Connection reset url=http://plugins.grails.org/grails-cxf-rt-frontend-jaxws/tags/RELEASE_2_3_0/cxf-rt-frontend-jaxws-2.3.0.pom Server

See here for some info on those system properties: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs...t/proxies.html If you set the system props it should work for all grails commands, if you use the grails command, I think https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-22766 Gliffy Diagrams Sort Name Modify Date Ascending Descending AttachmentsOptionsSort By NameSort By DateAscendingDescendingThumbnailsListDownload AllAttachmentsjbdscentral-back.png89 kB21/Jul/16 12:23 PMjbtcentral-back.png73 kB21/Jul/16 12:23 PMActivity People Assignee: Nick Boldt Reporter: Jan Richter Votes: 0 Vote for Hide Permalink Michael Simon added a comment - 10/Aug/11 11:13 PM +1 java.io.IOException: Cannot download http://dist.springsource.com/release/STS/discovery/directory-2.7.xml: HTTP response 407 at org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.discovery.core.util.HttpClientTransportService.stream(HttpClientTransportService.java:133) at org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.discovery.core.util.WebUtil.stream(WebUtil.java:161) at org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.discovery.core.util.WebUtil.readResource(WebUtil.java:95) at org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.discovery.core.model.RemoteBundleDiscoveryStrategy.performDiscovery(RemoteBundleDiscoveryStrategy.java:107) at org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.discovery.core.model.ConnectorDiscovery.performDiscovery(ConnectorDiscovery.java:114) at org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.discovery.ui.wizards.DiscoveryViewer$17.run(DiscoveryViewer.java:1489) Announcement Announcement Module Collapse No announcement yet.

Do you have a proxy configured in the global preferences? this contact form EDIT: Sorry for the big bump. Did you check access rights and permissions to access the network and those things? CNTLM should be handling that transparently.

If that doesn't work, download Discovery again. As a workaround, I installed cntlm (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cntlm/): an extra proxy running locally that authenticates and delegates to the NTLM-requiring proxy. It would be common for developers working on Win7 workstation behind firewalls. have a peek here All commenting, posting, registration services have been turned off.

All other users should be unaffected by this change. I guess I'll have to try taking this up with our Network support.. All thanks goto Martin and Kris for their great help!!

Comment 11 Steffen Pingel 2010-02-16 21:35:57 EST The P2 discovery implemenation now uses the ECF/P2 transport layer and takes advantage of the fixes applied for bug 252002 which ensure proper support

I think many other users are getting errors on those links. I am in the middle of developing web service and wanting to install CXF plugin. Try JIRA - bug tracking software for your team. I tried "Disable Caching", no help.

Thanks!!! Comment 3 Aaron Stockmeister 2009-07-01 16:49:37 EDT I guess my error message is different from Pauls, so I should post it. Or can someone point me to right place for how to manually update or install new software??? Check This Out Try restarting your STS and then accessing the extension portal again.

But I could not do "grails install-plugin springws" or "grails install-plugin cxf" in any brand new project from all modes. After configuring it I set the STS proxy to localhost:port and I tested with the internal browser and confirmed it was set up correctly. Thanks for all the suggestions Martin! -Gary. I am not a Win7 expert, but I see people reporting quite often special permission problems when running Win7 (mostly related to disc access, which is different from what you are I am not I understand the 407 error (proxy authentication required).
