And I could not find the libmcrypt.dll file, so I downloaded it from here: http://files.edin.dk/php/win32/mcrypt/ copied it to both directories (system32 and SysWOW64) but it's still not working, so I don't PHPmyAdmin will show this error "Cannot load mcrypt extension. For the test, you should give read permission to user IUSR_XXXXX (XXXXX is your Server Name) to ext folder (or all php folder) >You could monitor starting IIS with the FileMon it magically worked for me. They don't make things easy for us do they? If you are missing extensions, either download a PHP distribution that includes them, or Google around for the individual extension binaries for Windows. No I'm trying to set up the phpmyadmin. I realized reading this that this PATH stuff is a holdover from the DOS days and the PATH was an issue every installed application needed to address. You have to edit your php.ini and take the ";" off of: ;extension=php_mysql.dll Then there's a section for all of your mysql settings if you need to. Check This Out Login.

I moved the php.ini into the windows/system directory and it worked fine afterwards.
