I recommend that you use the setup wizard, as it is very straight forward. Ask your friendly DB admin for this information.

I was in the midst of recompiling when I found your page. Change Path in the Environment Variables area to add this directory to the path. The variables should be set up before the web server is started.On Red Hat Linux and variants, export variables at the end of /etc/sysconfig/httpd. If you'd like to contribute content, let us know.
