Starting on March 14, 2010, after upgrading to the then-current version of spamassassin, I started getting that message about every 20 minutes, and every time I invoked sa-learn to learn a falko, Mar 21, 2009 #4 klausengelmann New Member Yes, indeed SElinux is disabled. Option 1) Connect to the server (however you normally do this - I tend to use WinSCP) and browse to the folder it mentions. I _thought_ I had Bayes configured so it's only manually trained by me so locking shouldn't be a problem. During the normal course of >> operation, I have the following messages in the logs: >> >> Oct 25 13:31:36 mail02 amavis: (20312-01-30) _WARN: bayes: >> cannot open bayes databases /var/spool/amavisd/.spamassassin/bayes_* S 20:03 0:00 smtp -t unix -u

I read that by removing all bayes_* files from the /usr/local/share/spamassassin/run would work to reset the database. Restart SA's client chain: /etc/init.d/spamassassin start /etc/init.d/exim4 start .... 5. I have to stop spamassassin, rm bayes* and restart spamassassin. Acknowledgement sent to Duncan Findlay

Delete any lock files and try restarting spamassassin or exim. What are my options? Usage instructions are included in the script.
I thought that MailScanner was responsible to run Spamassassin as part of its rules and other tests, jusk like amavisd-new does.
