I'd have to sit down and sketch it all out to see where the issue is. I changed the settings to "auto" for the IP, sub., gateway, etc. Ouch. As a sanity check, are you sure your router is not at 192.168.1.1 ?I can ping both 192.168.1.4 and localhost just fine. weblink

I had something similar happen where I could ping every website but couldn't browse to a few...ended up being MTU size I think. Some will do this universally, on all subnets. Maybe there are too much people using wireless in your building. I really don't know how those connections got moved to network bridge, I never went in to there and made any changes like that, but I am happy to be typing Can't Ping Router Ip For instance, some Netgear router can be access through another device using a wireless connection.
